Abbey Brass Band

Abbey Brass Band

We are a traditional British brass band from Abingdon-on-Thames, in the Vale of White Horse, South Oxfordshire.

As a registered charity, our aim is to provide education and training for young people and adults in the playing of brass instruments, to promote the appreciation and understanding of brass band music and stimulate interest in the art of brass band playing.

Within the Abbey Brass organisation, there are two full brass bands (Main Band and Training Band) and a learners group. We are currently on the lookout for people who want to learn how to read music and to play a brass instrument.

We are also interested to hear from those who can already play an instrument and are looking for a band to join. We rehearse in our own band room near Abingdon town centre .
