Event description

This training session will be the final in BBE's 2024 series of webinars designed to support your marketing for your Brass Band Week event (you'll find the others on the BBE Events page or past recordings in the Member Resources library). Not participating in Brass Band Week (6 - 14 July 2024) this year? All of the content covered will still be relevant for your other concerts and activities taking place at any time throughout the year.

So, how should you go about gaining good PR coverage for your band and it's activities?

We'll look at:

  • How to construct a good press release
  • Who you should be contacting and what they're interested in
  • How to pitch to local and regional print and radio
  • When to make contact and how to follow-up successfully
